Refund Policy
Version 2026-10-03 · Draft for legal review
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. To ask for a refund, email [email protected] or reply to your Paddle receipt; you don't need to give a reason.
The short version
- Nothing downloaded, money back. If you haven't downloaded a Power BI file with what you paid for, we refund it in full.
- Downloaded, no refund. Once a Power BI file has been downloaded with a purchase, that purchase is used and isn't refunded.
- Renewals are refunded pro rata. If a subscription renews and you cancel during that renewed period, we refund the unused days of it.
In detail
| What you bought | When we refund | How much |
|---|---|---|
| Single Use project ($9.99) | Until the project's Power BI file is downloaded | In full |
| Extra project (Plus $8, Pro $6) | Until you download a new project that uses it | In full |
| First payment of a subscription (Plus, Pro, Enterprise, monthly or yearly) | Until a Power BI file is downloaded on the subscription | In full |
| A renewal (each later monthly or yearly payment) | When you cancel during that renewed period | The unused part of the period, pro rata by day |
Changing plan. Moving between Plus, Pro and Enterprise takes effect straight away. Paddle charges or credits the difference for the rest of the current billing period, pro rata. You don't need to ask for this.
Cancelling. Cancel any time in Account → Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. If you'd like the unused part of a renewal back, ask us when you cancel.
How refunds are paid. Refunds go back to the original payment method through Paddle, usually within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank. A refunded Single Use project is locked again; a refunded subscription ends.
